I have been Leading Leaders, Training Trainers and Coaching Coaches for decades.

As a volunteer with HOBY from 1981-2019 I was inspired by Dr Albert Schweitzer and served multiple terms as State Program Director and Corporate Board Chair, and was involved in many other ways. The highlight of my HOBY work was to speak to 800 youth leaders from around the world on the topic of Servant Leadership in Chicago in 2012.

As a Scoutmaster over 11 years I mentored young men and their families to advance in scouting with nearly all achieving the highest rank of Eagle Scout. The highlight of my scouting work was the years I served as a Camp Commissioner at Camp Wilderness in northern Minnesota.

As a sales rep and manager with NFIB I set sales records for my territory and established membership renewal and growth standards that were all time company bests. Though I was inducted into the NFIB sales Hall Of Fame in 1997, the highlight of my career was to coach my sales reps to achieve their goals, and to see them do so!

As a professional speaker I have done many keynotes, workshops and seminars, and I suppose I am especially good at sales trainings and corporate board training. Another highlight of my speaking work (In addition to the one above) is the work I have done as an EmCee in these later years, especially for CPL. I am very happy with my role as a Master Storyteller who uses my voice to lift others up.

I’ve been described as a Renaissance Man. I’ve hosted my own Radio Show. I love to cook for family and friends. I collect (esp. antique) globes and atlases. And I enjoy reading, especially historical novels.

Since graduating cum laude from Valley City State University I have pursued studies toward an MBA, held numerous professional designations including series 7 stockbroker. I am a Distinguished Toastmaster and graduate of the National Speakers Association Academy. I have a certification as a Life Purpose Coach. I am a graduate of CPL’s Art of Convening.

As the Mission Specialist “I don’t fly the rockets, I just make sure the trip goes well.” My favorite and best way to contribute to the Mission of CPL is as an EmCee, which I have done for virtual, on-line events and for Live Retreats.
