How is Whole Person Leadership for Women different?

Whole Person Leadership for Women (WPL4W) is a five-month leadership journey and “incubator” for women leaders to renew their purpose, define and address an identified leadership challenge from their lives or work, and experience the power of working with peers outside of their organizations and our seasoned program faculty in intimate cohorts.

Participants: 
-Learn the power of The Art of Convening—the art of inclusion and collaboration—as the foundation and structure of each session.
-Work with 5 seasoned faculty (3 authors), each with deep experience in their fields and expertise, but in the spirit of co-creation and exploration with each participant.
-Identify a project or idea that you want to develop or launch.
-Identify leadership patterns, strengths, and growth points. 
-Obtain coaching from program leaders, as well as peers. 
-Focus on teamwork, collaboration, communication, gender and racial equity, and trust.
-Develop a Purpose Plan (1-3-5-year) for personal and professional growth.
-Gain a community of allies, collaborators, an informal sounding board. 

“Leadership” as a term seems to be too limiting. This program is less about the leader on the center stage, and more about designing space where everyone’s wisdom and unique expression is honored and encouraged. We are empowered by seeing and experiencing ourselves and others through the lens of purpose. When we connect to our deeper, unique purpose, we can learn, explore, reflect and realize together. 

Our alums tell us that the WPL program allowed them time and focus to see the unfolding of their next steps, their next manifestation. Because of who you are, your next stage holds great potential. We consider that an invitation, not a mandate or burden. A joy to be revealed.

The Whole Person Leadership journey generates deep shifts in awareness, perception, and behavior. It starts with inner transformation through a commitment to embrace more wholeness, which leads to more authentic outer expression.

The Structure

Our Whole Person Leadership for Women program is a five-month leadership journey where women leaders renew their purpose, define and address an identified leadership challenge from their lives or work, as well as experience the power of working with peers and our program faculty. It includes four Virtual Sessions via Zoom and a closing Summit, as well as qualitative research interviews that track participants’ growth and offer collective insights.

All sessions are on Thursdays via Zoom.

Registration Info

In keeping with our vision: A just, inclusive, and interconnected world — a world that works for all, we have designed a “tiered tuition” (sliding scale) model that empowers individuals to pay at a level that is authentic and appropriate to their current circumstances.  
We offer a group registration rate for 3 (or more) individuals registering together.
We also provide tuition assistance options: including a no-interest payment plan and a limited number of scholarships, partially through a grant from the Women’s Foundation of Minnesota.

  • We are committed to all women becoming Whole Person leaders. Being an authentic leader is not a luxury. All women deserve a group of allies who help them find their purpose, deal with their leadership challenges, and thrive in a world that is not yet completely supportive of women leaders.

    In recognition of the changing landscape for professional women, we offer sliding scale fees, and a Virtual-only option. We invite all who can afford it to invest in our important work by paying full tuition and offering referrals of other cool women who are up to something to our program.

  • In recognition of the changing landscape for professional women, we also offer scholarships. While spots are limited we recommend asking any questions you may have during your initial contact to help determine eligibility.

    This program is live and interactive with the program leaders and participants. There is an expectation of participation in all sessions, to the best of your ability:

    • Zoom sessions: on-screen

    • Summit (in Minnesota): Summit costs are part of your tuition. We request your in-person participation, if possible.

    All sessions are a blend of group interaction in large and small-group time.

    Session content includes experiential exercises and utilizes assigned individual reading and reflection.

    All materials and archived sessions are proprietary to CPL and confidential for use within the Faculty and participants only.
    Some materials are available for outside use, with attribution to Center for Purposeful Leadership and Whole Person Leadership for Women.


    Cancellation Policy:
    Refunds will be made if requested in writing 20 days prior to the program start date.

    No refunds will be made for requests received after the 20-day cutoff.
