Case Study Resources

The Art of Convening is often called “The Structure of Belonging” or the “scaffolding” of a meeting, gathering, or conversation of meaning and impact.

Meetings are an expression of the values of an organization or the person leading the meeting. The Case Study is an opportunity to deconstruct and construct the elements of building an authentic engagement, the basis of collaboration that has positive outcomes.

The Case Study format uses the 9 Steps to Collaboration of the Convening Wheel to discover and design your best engagement ever.

  • How is your meeting design an expression of your leadership values?

  • What works well now that you want to build on?

  • What would you change?

  • What is something new that you would like to try?

  • What voices need to be heard to get to the Commitment to Action? (An individual/collective agreement to be responsible & accountable for the way forward)
